In modern-day society, our connection with our ancestral line is not as strong as it used to be in ancient times. Yet, various spiritual and occult traditions delve deep into the topics of ancestral karma, hexes, curses, traumas, and blocks being passed down through generations.
In occult traditions, it is mentioned that karmic debt resulting from black magic that has caused severe damage can bring a curse down through seven generations. Nowadays, there are also scientific studies exploring epigenetics and how the effects of trauma can be passed down through generations, potentially extending beyond seven generations.
We all have a debt to our ancestors for being alive in this world and for the sustenance, wisdom, and protection they provided, as well as the qualities we inherited from them. But along with our talents, psychic gifts, physical traits, and good karma, many of us may have also inherited traumas, karmic debt, and limiting patterns — poverty, addiction, and even hexes and curses running through the family lineage.
Patterns of poverty, persecution, violence, addiction, or even hexes and curses can run in the background of our lives, holding us back. And regardless of how much work we do in the physical realm to overcome them, without energetic support and clearing, it can be very difficult to break free from deeply rooted ancestral patterns.
Cutting the connection with an ancestor or the fact that they have passed away does not energetically cut the cords, hexes, curses, or limiting ancestral patterns. For that, potent energetic and ritualistic work is required.
Just to put things into perspective, I recently performed an ancestral healing ritual for one of my clients who wanted to clear the pattern of under- earning in her maternal family lineage. During the ritual, the candle caught fire and started setting the surrounding area alight. I ran into the kitchen and quickly put out the fire before everything went insane lol
I repeated the ritual, as it was obvious that there were still blocks to be addressed.
The second time, the candle caught fire in such a voracious way that my kitchen countertop caught fire, too! Luckily, I managed to put the fire out in time and save my kitchen (again) The resistance within the ancestral lineage to my client earning more and overcoming this deeply rooted family pattern was so strong that it was preventing the ritual from even taking place.
There is a lot of talk about spiritual attacks from different entities, but sometimes, our blocks can be tied to our ancestors — and very few people even have a clue!
